This 30,000 S.F. office building located in Rockville, MD had a weathered and difficult to maintain wood siding façade. The building owner chose to completely renovate this building while it was fully occupied. The existing building skin was removed -- while a temporary barrier wall was in place for occupant security and protection -- and replaced with a new EIFS façade with an aluminum ribbon glazing system. Concurrently, the existing mechanical equipment was replaced and a new rubber membrane roof was installed. On the interior a fire protection and fire alarm system was installed and interior alterations were performed including offices and a cafeteria with dining area. |
