Dominion had an existing showroom and warehouse fronting Route 50, in western Fairfax County. Due to the rapidly expanding construction demand it was no longer able to adequately serve the needs of its commercial customers. The ability to expand on the existing site resulted in the construction of a 70,350 S.F. concrete tilt building that has become a sales and distribution center, geared to the electrical tradesmen. The interior of the building provided warehouse space for rack storage, offices on a mezzanine level and a contractor’s sales counter. Loading dock space was provided as a will call pick-up, as well as a second covered loading dock which was constructed as a point of connection between the new and existing building. The exterior of the building was finished with an integrated thin brick veneer along with large aluminum glazing system, for an architecturally appealing modern warehouse. Complete site preparation was performed including earthwork, utilities, paving, site concrete and landscaping.
