Hubert Begins Construction of Six Community Center/Pool Facilities in VA and MD, Contracts Total $5.6 Million
Gaithersburg, Maryland, November 16, 2005…Having recently completed six community swimming pool complexes, Hubert Construction of Gaithersburg, MD has begun construction of six more. These projects, which include community center/bathhouse facilities, have a total contract value of approximately $5.6 million and are scheduled for completion by early 2006. Five of the new projects are in Virginia and one is in Maryland.
All of the buildings have men’s and women’s restrooms with showers and handicap facilities as well as room for pool equipment, storage, and first-aid. Some of the projects have additional indoor and/or outdoor recreational amenities. The six projects are:
- Hidden Creek Clubhouse, 600 Pelican Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD: This project includes a 4,782 square foot clubhouse and a 5,333 SF lap pool with a shallow area and beach entry. The clubhouse has an exercise room, club room with pool table and fireplace, business center, and kitchen. Its exterior design features cultured stone veneer, decorative columns, and arched windows with crown molding.
- Manassas Park Station Clubhouse, 9722 Corbet Circle, Manassas Park, VA: Centex Homes contracted Hubert for this two-story clubhouse with free-form main swimming pool, and lap pool. The clubhouse has a walkout deck with three sets of double doors. The exterior is masonry brick with a standing seam metal roof and decorative wood louvers, a decorative trellis, and structural wood columns.
- New Bristow Village Recreation Complex, 11976 Bristow Village Boulevard, Bristow, VA, comprises a 4,603 SF clubhouse, 25-meter pool with deck and site amenities, and wading pool. The expansive clubhouse includes an exercise room, multi-purpose room, foyer with hardwood flooring, kitchen, and community room with three sets of double doors leading out to a terrace. The front façade features 16-inch decorative columns and brick veneer with a standing seam metal roof.
- Morris Farms Pool, Broadwinged Drive, Gainesville, VA: Brookfield Homes contracted Hubert to construct its new pool complex consisting of a 1,800 SF bathhouse and a 5,100 SF pool. The bathhouse exterior is finished with decorative timber, applied stone veneer, louvers, and a standing seam metal roof. The swimming pool is 5,100 SF and includes a separate wading pool with surrounding pool deck and fencing.
- West Market Recreation Complex, 6112 Popes Creek Place, Haymarket, VA: This project for Basheer & Edgemoore includes a 2,360 SF clubhouse, 25-meter lap pool, wading pool, two tennis courts, and a multi-purpose court. The bathhouse features 20-inch brick pier columns at the entry, a multi-purpose room, and a kitchen.
- Purcellville Ridge Community Recreation Complex, 121 River Bottom Square, Purcellville, VA: This Toll Brothers project, scheduled for completion in fall of 2005, includes a 4,562 SF two-story community clubhouse, swimming pool, basketball courts, and tennis courts. The clubhouse, featuring an attractive entrance foyer and great room, has a vinyl siding exterior with brick water table.
Founded in 1998, Hubert Construction, LLC offers a full range of construction services including commercial office buildings, tilt–up, retail, small commercial, recreation facilities, interiors, and site infrastructure. Hubert Construction had 2004 revenue of $45 million and is projecting revenue of $70 million for 2005.
