Hubert is Awarded Construction Contracts Totaling $57.6 Million

New Projects Put Hubert On Track for 2005 Revenue Projections

 

Gaithersburg, Maryland, April 29, 2005…Hubert Construction of Gaithersburg, MD has been awarded construction contracts on six new projects totaling nearly 600,000 square feet. The total value of Hubert’s contracts is $57.6 million. Four of the new projects are in Northern Virginia; one is in Maryland, and one is in Delaware.

  • Dulles Trade Center I, Buildings H1 and H2, Rockhaven Way, Dulles, Virginia – Two new buildings in this office/flex/industrial center will total 140,000 SF and consist of tilt-up concrete walls with an integrated brick veneer. Hubert’s contract for this project, designed by Morgan Gick McBeath & Associates, is $6.6 million.
  • Dulles Retail Center, Buildings 1 and 2, Overland Drive, Dulles, Virginia – Two single-story retail buildings totaling 82,000 SF will house retail tenants serving the fast-growing Route 606 corridor just west of Washington Dulles International Airport. Four pad sites will provide space for two fast food restaurants, a gas station/convenience store, and a bank. Hubert’s contract for this project, designed by Donnally, Vujcic & Associates. is $11.1 million.
  • Ashburn Crossroads consists of four office condo buildings located on 8.8 acres in Loudoun County, Virginia. The buildings, designed by CMSS Architects, range in size from 15,000 to 23,000 SF. Structural wood construction with masonry cavity wall is enhanced by an EIFS exterior finish simulating a cornice façade. Site work is being completed by developer Keane Enterprises. Hubert’s contracts for the four buildings total $8.5 million.
  • Innovation Business Center, Buildings A, B, and C, 9371 Innovation Drive, Manassas, Virginia – Hubert will construct three single-story base building structures totaling 130,000 SF and complete related site and utility development for the first speculative leased office space at Innovation Business Park in Prince William County. The architect is Morgan Gick McBeath & Associates. The façade will feature brick with punched windows and recessed entrances. Building depths of 80 and 100 feet will be available, with or without four-foot dock loading capability. Hubert’s contract for this project is over $7.7 million.
  • Bowie Corporate Center, 4321 Collington Road, Bowie, Maryland –This 132,000 SF Class A Office building is Hubert Construction’s first LEED Silver Certified project, incorporating energy efficiency and use of environmentally sensitive building materials and practices. Hubert’s contract for this project, designed by Barry Dunn & Associates, is $15.5 million.
  • Heritage Shores is a 42,000 SF sports and community center under development in Bridgeville, Delaware by Lennar Homes. The project includes a 32,000 SF country club building, 10,000 SF sports center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and tennis courts. The sports center features a dramatic two-story entrance with two spiral staircases leading to the lower level, and offers an aerobics room, separate exercise room, locker rooms, snack bar, golf pro shop, and holding area for golf carts. The country club building includes a kitchen, restaurant/bar, dance floor and multi-purpose rooms, game room, and crafts room. Hubert’s contract for this project, designed by Guernsey/Tingle Architects, is $8.2 million.
