Vornado Awards Hubert the Build-out & Renovation for New York Life's new Space
Tyson's Corner, VA, August 2011...Hubert Construction has been awarded, by Vornado, the multi-phase build-out and renovation of New York Life’s Fairfax Square offices in Tyson’s Corner. The first phase, the build-out of a 3,616 S.F. of expansion space, has commenced and will deliver in October. Upon completion of phase 1, renovations will commence on 22,598 S.F. of existing occupied space. Renovations will include minor layout changes, replacement of all existing light fixtures and ceiling tile, painting, wallcovering and installation of new carpet. The tenant space will remain occupied during construction with a multi-phased move-out of pre-determined sections to allow for unencumbered work. Upon completion of renovations in each section, accessories, furnishings and occupants will return to previous locations. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of the year. Hubert provided pre-construction consulting services—estimating, value engineering, scheduling, phasing layout—prior to competitively bidding the work.
