As President of Hubert Construction, Mr. McCarthy was responsible for the daily Business Management of the Company to ensure that the Business Plan objectives were met.
As Vice President of Preconstruction for Hubert Construction, Mr. McCarthy was responsible for various aspects of construction management including project cost management, schedule assurance, subcontractor management, and contract negotiation.
During his employment at Glen Construction, Mr. McCarthy held the following positions from 1988 to 1998: Assistant Estimator, Project Assistant (Field and office) Project Superintendent, Project Estimator, Project Manager, Pre-Construction Services and Director for Pre-Construction.
Mr. McCarthy speaks nationally at construction conferences such as the World of Concrete and A/E/C Systems on construction computer technology. Mr. McCarthy has also spoken internationally on Design/Build procurement working with the Government of Finland on incorporating this procurement method into their building industry.
Mr. McCarthy has successfully completed a range of projects including Design/Build, General Contractor only projects, and projects where Mr. McCarthy acted as Construction Manager. These projects consist of office buildings, senior living center, hotels, K-12 schools, and flex warehouses. |
